All limited companies must register with Companies House, the authority in charge of registering and monitoring all limited companies and limited liability companies (N.B. if you are sole trader, you don’t need to register).
Once you have registered your company, you are required to submit annual accounts and confirmation statements. You must also notify Companies House of any changes to your business – for example if a director or secretary leaves or you relocate premises. Not fulfilling these duties or filing information late may result in penalties.
