Lisa has worked, and subsequently co-directed, at a local firm for more than 20 years.  In
December 2021 she made the decision to start her own practice in Baldock, Hertfordshire and
this was the start of McColes & Co.

Lisa’s clients are spread across a multitude of industries, ranging from start-up SMEs, through to
multi-million pound turnover companies.  She loves starting with a business from the early stages, whilst equally adept at driving established businesses to achieve their full potential.

Lisa is proactive and forward-thinking and helps advise on profit maximisation whilst searching for tax saving opportunities.

During her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.

Shane joined the team as our Tax Manager in October 2025 and looks after a wide range of personal and business tax matters for our clients.

Shane is ATT qualified and has over 32 years of experience working in tax – with individuals, families, and companies – helping them to stay compliant and make sense of their tax affairs.

He enjoys taking the time to explain things clearly and believes good tax advice should always be practical and easy to understand. Shane works closely with the rest of the team to make sure every return and piece of advice we give is accurate, timely, and tailored to each client’s needs.

Outside the office, Shane enjoys cycling, retro gaming, and spending time with his young family.

Leanne is AAT qualified and has been working in an accountancy practice since 2004.

Leanne’s role involves preparation of year end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.  She also assists with company administration and company formations.

Lauren develops and maintains great working relationships with many longstanding

Ashleigh has worked in an accountancy practice since 2008.  Her responsibilities include making sure all management accounts, VAT and CIS deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Ashleigh is McCole’s cloud software expert and works across many different softwares including Xero, Quickbooks and Sage to name just a few.

Away from work, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and socialising.

Chloe joined the team in September 2025 and is responsible for managing client payrolls.
Chloe has extensive experience in handling CIS returns and P11D submissions, and is proficient in a range of payroll software. Chloe ensures that all payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, as well as overseeing the timely upload of pension contributions and ensuring auto-enrolment duties are fulfilled.
 
Outside of work, Chloe enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, gardening, reading, and attending live music and comedy events.

Kya is an accounts apprentice with a Level 2 AAT qualification, aspiring to become a fully qualified accountant.

Kya’s role involves a wide range of tasks in order to learn the important skills and knowledge needed to work within accountancy. This includes assisting with the preparation of accounts, company secretarial tasks, responding to enquiries and helping the team.
